Alpha Industries Introduces the Onion Quilting Collection For Spring/Summer 2026

Alpha Industries introduces the Onion Quilting Collection, a modern expression of heritage layering inspired by the quilted liner of the M-65 Field Jacket.
Officially designated the Quilted Liner, Cold Weather, M-65, the original liner was developed as part of the U.S. Army’s cold-weather system to deliver lightweight insulation without restricting movement. Its defining curved stitch construction, now commonly referred to as onion quilting, served a functional purpose: maintaining warmth while remaining flexible across changing conditions.
Building on this foundation, Alpha’s ALS-92 represents a contemporary evolution of the original system. Designed for civilian wear, ALS-92 translates the intent of the M-65 liner into a modern context, preserving its focus on mobility, versatility, and ease of layering.
The Onion Quilting Collection draws directly from this lineage, applying the signature onion quilt stitch pattern across a range of lightweight silhouettes engineered for transitional weather. Each piece reflects Alpha’s disciplined approach to utility-driven design, balancing insulation and comfort with clean construction and restrained detail.
Rooted in proven military systems and refined for everyday wear, the Onion Quilting Collection reinforces Alpha Industries’ commitment to evolving authentic heritage through modern design.
Alpha Industries’ Spring/Summer 2026 Collection will be available beginning February 3, 2026, at alphaIndustries.com, at the brand’s NYC retail location (290 Lafayette St, New York, NY), and at select retailers nationwide.
