Women's History Month: Madonna

Our longstanding partnership with feminist-icon Madonna goes back to 1990, at the helm of her Blond Ambition tour and in support of her fourth studio album, Like a Prayer. The album marked a noted departure from Madonna’s previous work and the world tour marked many firsts for the artist: her first time touring in Sweden and Spain, her first time recording with live musicians in the same room, her first break from “pop” music. The tour also canonized the now-elusive Blond Ambition Tour bomber jackets, using our Heritage MA-1 Bomber Jacket design.

In the decades since, we’ve had the opportunity to partner with the singer on several jackets, including one for her most recent global tour – a retrospective showcase of her career, aptly named The Celebration Tour. The 80-show ensemble saw record sell-out times globally, indicating the Queen of Pop's influence on an ever-devoted fanbase. After four decades in the industry, Madonna remains one of the greatest musicians of all time – a true rebel and an outspoken advocate of gender equality and human rights, constantly evolving and connecting with the next generation without compromise.
