The M-65 Field Coat 50th Anniversary Collection
In late 1965 Alpha Industries was awarded its first contract by the U.S. military to manufacture the newly designed M-65 Field Coat. Alpha quickly became one of the top producers for the Department of Defense. Inspired by the rugged nylon/cotton (NYCO) sateen shell, heavy-duty brass zipper and distinctive Olive Green color of the original, this special 50th anniversary collection was born.

    The Inspiration
Many different things influenced our design team in creating this collection. From the vintage M-65 Field Coats we produced under our first DOD contract to the artistic M-65s done by renowned Japanese designers. The accessories such as the watch, boots and bags all pay homage to their authentic military counterparts used during the Vietnam jungle combat operations.
