Alpha Industries jackets can be sized in one of three fits. Core Fit is truest to original Military Spec. Sizes are roomy and tend to be larger than standard sizing. Standard Fit is true to size. You will most likely be the same size you normally wear in outerwear. Slim Fit is snug. It fits close to the body and is more tailored.
Unfortunately, we do not have length measurements available to us.

In the 1990’s, we started adding a small red ribbon to every one of our jackets. For decades now, Remove Before Flight ribbons have been used as safety warnings to indicate that a device, such as a protective cover or a pin to prevent the movement of mechanical parts, is only used when the aircraft is on the ground. These warnings are of extreme importance and in some cases, non-removal of a labeled part has caused airplane crashes.
Currently all of our flight jackets and parkas come with the Remove Before Flight tag on our signature zippered pencil/utility pocket. They do not come with the Kids jackets due to safety regulations.
The "bullet" shaped pieces are actually pen caps. They were used to prevent ink from ruining your jacket if a pen would happen to leak. These were customary on all jackets worn by the military.
Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to replace any of the components of Alpha Industries jackets. Most parts are only available at the manufacturing level, produced at the factory. Our manufacturer does not provide us with any spare parts, including the fur trims and zippers.
Unfortunately, Alpha Industries does not provide the service to customize jackets. All materials are held at the manufacturing level and all items are sold as is. We recommend contacting a local embroidery shop for customizations.
Because all of our jackets are different and unique, they all require different care. We suggest looking under STYLE SPECS + CARE* on the product page for our recommended cleaning instructions for your specific jacket.
We recommend that you care for jacket with a damp wash cloth or locating a dry cleaner that specializes in leather. Too often, customers have taken their leather jacket to a dry cleaner only to find that the chemicals that they used to clean damages the leather. Each dry cleaner uses a different type of solution. Alpha Industries does not recommend the use of a leather conditioner. Instead, we recommend using a leather oil that you first test on an inconspicuous place inside the jacket and this can be found at any leather shop.
Currently, our jackets are being manufactured in China. Most Alpha items we manufacture are imported globally, where we use state of the art manufacturing facilities. However, all of our Mil-Spec items are manufactured in the U.S.
The main difference between these two, is that the MA-1 Slim Fit contours to the body and is more form-fitting. The MA-1 Slim Fit also has a different interior color contrast compared to the exterior color and is more of a European cut. The classic MA-1 Flight Jacket has the iconic Emergency Orange lining.
The ALS/92 Liner is designed to fit under M-65 Field Coat, and the M-65 Defender Liner is designed to fit under the M-65 Defender Field Coat. Unfortunately, these liners are not compatible with our other field jackets. If you were to wear our liners under any other jacket, it would not fit perfectly.

Once an order is placed we do our best to have it processed and shipped out as soon as possible. We are not able to make changes to an order once it has been placed. We stand behind all our products and are confident that they will perform as designed. While Alpha Products are not sold under any guaranteed warranty if you feel your product has under-preformed or exhibits any manufacturing defects we will evaluate any and all claims on jackets within 6 months of purchase date from AlphaIndustries.com. After 6 months, items exhibiting issues are considered normal wear-and-tear and may not qualify for replacement.
We accept credit card payments from MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. We also accept PayPal.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer gift cards or honor store credit. We hope to implement such services in the future, but not at this time.

We are committed to the quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers. Your product is eligible for return within 45 days of your purchase date provided the item(s) are unwashed, unworn, and still have the original tags attached. Any shipping fees on the original order are final and will not be refunded.

Once our warehouse receives the item back, it can take up to 3 business days to process and review. After that, we will be able to process the refund immediately. Credit card refunds usually arrive within 5-7 business days, but times vary by bank. PayPal orders take 48-72 hours to post back to you.
Domestic: Any shipping fees on the original order are final and will not be refunded. A return fee of MXN 224.50 USD will be charged if you choose to use our return label International: You will not be refunded the initial shipping cost, return shipping cost, or duties and taxes.
All orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays. Orders placed Monday – Friday before 2 PM EST are usually processed and shipped same-day, excluding weekends and holidays. Any orders placed after 2 PM will not be processed and shipped until the following business day. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery.
You will receive an email with your UPS tracking number once our distribution center has shipped your order. Enter your tracking number on the UPS website to find out where your package is.
