I've had mine for 7-8 years with USMC
unit patches. Very light and really cuts
cold wind and wears well, I'm always getting compliments on the way it looks. I had a custom leather name tag w/velcro
with USMC EGA.
Only draw back it needs to have a velco
under the end of collar to keep it down.
Do not wash, only dryclean

Perfect camo jacket!
The problem is living in Brazil and can not buy because of high import taxes.
Flight camouflage jackets are hard to find (with the quality and beauty Alpha Industries)!
I am sad to know that is out of print quickly and I'll lose.

I am waring mine in 10 years now! M-65 rules and Alphas is the best. This NYCO (%50 Nylon, %50 Cotton)is grate for the winter. You would only need the liner in colder winter time.

I have been wearing Alpha Bomber Jackets for 20 some years with pride, knowing that the coats are made in America, by Americans for Americans. I recently bought my brother a coat from Alpha for Christmas but it didn't fit correctly so he exchanged it. After hassling with the horrible return process for OVER A MONTH, he finally chose and recieved his exchange, which was this pea coat. At first the coat seemed really nice, until we realized, to both of our surprise, it was MADE IN CHINA! After 20 years and 7 different Alpha coats that I have loved and still own, I'm done. Goodbye Alpha. How very dissapointing. Another great company sacraficing their American Integrity for foreign made profits.

Bought the XXLT and the fit seems fine (6'4" 245lbs). A couple of issues that I have are:
1). The epaulettes aren't long enough
as on the original jkt I was issued.
2). The lower pockets don't seem to be as deep as the original issue.
If the epaulette issue was fixed I could live with the pockets not being deep enough.

I was blown away the moment the Injector came out of the box. A fantastic warm jacket with thicker elastic on the wrists than the standard MA-1, and plenty of pockets to toy around with. The lining is also very smooth and comfortable on the skin and the jacket slightly heavier than a standard MA-1.
Would definitely recommend this jacket if you're looking for something stylish and warm to wear.

A fantastic warm fall-season jacket. Will be testing it this Australian Autumn. One thing that surprised me which I'd overlooked in the description is that the M-43 also comes complete with a liner.

I bought my first n-2b at 1989.i was at technical high school after for 4 years and i used to ware it every day.after that for 2 years at Greek marines and NATO exercises and and now as father and as technical manager ,i still ware it at my work.1989-2012

This jacket looks great! Short of finding a new original, you can't ge closer for the price.
A problem with original mis-shipment was handled quickly.

adore it! these need to be bought several sizes bigger, i'm a 42 suit and the 2XL fits perfectly. this is sooo much better than the rothco and mil-tec versions i got first. they were nice, but this is the rolls of N-2B jackets. everything is quality and done the best. got the replica blue, looks very cool. warning, it is quite a warm jacket. they aren't kidding. after getting this i like it so much i just got the B-15, which is a lighter non-hooded authentic flight jacket, which i can wear in weather that is not so cold. but for the cold times, you will love this. do note, it appears to be an inch longer than the super short 60's versions you might find on ebay, which is great as those come down to just below one's belly button. so you don't have to buy this a size too big just to get it the right length. did i say i love this???

I have this in true navy blue though this photo looks gray. A YXXS is equivalent to a size 5-7 in boys and looks really sharp as a church/dress up coat! It is warm, though because it is double breasted I'm not sure it would fit on a broader kid. My son wears slim pants and is pretty much a stick and it's been great. I did get the sleeves taken up when he was a size 5 but haven't let them out, though I probably should have and now he's in a size 7 winter coat but this still works. Very pleased with quality. This one will easily pass along to the next one. I recommend!

An Excellent rreproduction in cloth, weight, cut, workmanship and overall feel. Hardware (snaps, zippers) appear equal to originals but pieces now bear the Alpha brand rather than e.g. Rau, Scovill, Ideal as per originals. Smaller gussets in breast pockets, narrower skirt pockets and slightly different buttons are features hitherto associated wiht knock-offs but are consistent with the Chinese manufacture. Inside pockets (zipper on right and velcro on the left along with an improved liner (available separately) that has pockets, knitted cuffs and can be worn by itself will be welcomed my most but may disapoint purists. All in all an excellent jacket which marks the evolution of the M65 from issue item to timeless classic military clothing icon

Jacket is good looking and fits according to the size chart. Two things I don't care for are the hood in the collar because it makes the collar bulky. The other thing is the pockets are shallow, could be a little deeper.

I've had my parka for a few months now and I think it is absolutely brilliant for the money. It is iconic and looks very similar to the 70's parkas we all wore in the school playground. I can't really comment on it's performance in very cold weather i.e. -20C and below as the temperatures in the UK generally do not go as low as in North America but I recently wore it in -10C with only 2 thin layers underneath and I was very comfortable. Besides, the secret to keeping warm in very cold temperatures is wearing layers and keeping your head warm and the N3-B definitely has the best snorkel hood for keeping the cold and wind out. I am not sure why anyone would wear just a t-shirt under a heavy coat in very low temperatures. I think the sizing is wrong because I am a 43 inch chest but the large was too big for me. Medium is perfect. I would agree with other web reviews in saying that the buttons are not sewn on well enough and Alpha need to address this immediately. I would also have liked to have seen real coyote fur trim as an option. Apart from that, the quality is very good and second to none for the money. It is also the coolest looking parka bar none. I also have an Alpha MA-1 flight jacket and I'm not sure which one I love more!

I have just received my MA-1 jacket and to say that I am pleased would be a huge understatement. It is much warmer than I had expected while being light and extremely comfortable. The outer nylon shell appears to be very tough and durable and the waist and wrist bands look as though they have been built to stand the test of time very well. With a plain white t-shirt underneath, it is without doubt one of the coolest looking jackets around. I also have an Alpha N3-B parka and I am not sure which jacket I love most!

I am a heavy user of alpha industries products, I bought three different colors of this type of jacket in Spain, I love them because they last long, the quality is the best around (when I say around I mean around the planet) and look great on. I AM REALLY HAPPY WITH IT.

This is my second M-65 and the assoicate liner bought from Alpha Industries. The first one was bought about 6 to 7 years ago. The reason for my second purchase was the great quality I had from the first jacket. This current one was nothing but disappointment.
Poorly made, the fabric on the jacket was not as good as before, the elastic sleeves of the liner are as thin as regular sport socks and this: the buttons inside the right sleeve for fastening the liner were simply not there!
To be fair, imported garments can be made in awesome quality, too, especially with the ticket price you are asking for. This in my own opinion has nothing to do with overseas production, it is only about poor factory sourcing and quality control. This jacket and liner combo will not pass for pre-production sampling, in my opinion.
If you are reading this, Alpha Industries, I would be glad to return this whole package to you at your cost. You have my email address to contact me.

You will not be disappointed with this MA-1. I own a standard MA-1 and a 1968 model, and I have to say, although both jackets are great the 1968 model exceeded my expectations. The lining is thicker and heavier than I thought, and provides excellent warmth retention and protection from wind, the zipper is good quality and the jacket feels as if it would last many lifetimes.
One of the best things I've found about the 1968 MA-1 is that due to the thick lining, it fits extremely well. The shoulders sit broad and square rather than round and loose, and the arms remain puffed and smooth, which gives the wearer a good shape, and somewhat of a masculine build appearance with good broad shoulders and arms. 5 stars all the way, and definitely worth the wait for it to get from the USA to Australia!

Tested N3B on Saturday demonstration in Moscow, Russia. About 3 hours outdoor with litle movement and temerature were -20C (-4F) and wind - parka is good!
Size +1 to usual (I have 3XL - 4XL fits good and allow alot of underwear)

This coat is superbly crafted with an exceptionally warm, shearling lining that runs all the way through it, including the sleeves.
The thick, heavyweight, 2 tone leather is super, smart looking, soft, but will stand up to a lifetime of outdoor abuse.

I just received my McGuire flight jacket in Replica Blue and the fit and finish are incredible. This is one QUALITY Jacket, nothing in the stores compares. Couldn't be happier.

This parka is awesome in every way. It is very warm without feeling too heavy or bulky and the quality is excellent. The fur hood trim is also an iconic feature and keeps you warm no matter how cold or windy it gets. I would however have liked there to have been a real fur option available in the UK. The coat is toastie warm and I don't need to wear much underneath it although temperatures hardly ever go below -10C unless you live in the Scottish Highlands. It is also the coolest looking parka on the market and takes me back to my school playground days in the 70s. My only criticism as mentioned by another reviewer is that the buttons are not sewn on well enough. Other than that, it is the dog's privates! I have just ordered an Alpha MA-1 flight jacket and I can't wait for it to arrive as well?

I ordered the CWU 45/P Leather Flight Jacket. I was worried about the sizing so I called customer service and gave them my dimensions. They recommended the large. I am 5'll" and 164 lbs with a 33" waist. I am wide in the shoulders so was apprehensive about a large. According to the sizing chart online I was large also. So I ordered the large and when it arrived it fit OK but was a little tight in the shoulders. So I called customer service back and they said I could have an X-large sent out and compare the two and send one back. So that's what I did and the X-large fits perfect. I'm extremely happy with the jacket. It's a rugged jacket and should last for years. It's very warm and is easily stylish enough to wear for dressy occasions. A note of caution-the first jacket I returned had a dusky brown color(almost a suede look). The X-large I kept was a slightly darker brown leather with more of the distressed look I wanted. Now the one I returned might wear into this same type of look, but I just wanted to make you aware of this difference. They were both very attractive jackets.
The quality of this jacket is first rate. The lining,pockets and zipper all shout out quality. This is definitely the best jacket that I've owned. Customer service was also very friendly and helpful both times I called.

I'd previously invested money into many other jackets before receiving an Alpha Industries MA-1, and I was only mildly satisfied, given that other jackets simply did not let the skin breathe (leading to sweating, even in cold temperatures), or uncomfortable, or rubbish fits, however when I unboxed my beautiful MA-1, I could instantly feel a brilliant quality jacket. The material is soft and extremely comfortable, and the jacket is one of the warmest I've ever owned. Mine faithfully served as a pillow at one point during my first three months of living out of home and it excelled at that.
If you need a great quality and warm jacket, I highly recommend the Alpha Ma-1, look no further. The zipper is solid and works brilliantly (does not snag or catch nearly as often as other ones would), and the pockets are usefully sized.

I bought this parka after reading good reviews online. It runs small, first one I bought, had to return. Customer service was excellent and helped me to get a Medium size. I am 6", 160 lbs. I am not happy with the fit of this parka. Supposed to be slim fit but it isn't. Only the arms feel slim and well designed. I also regret it doesn't have a interior pocket with zipper as many other parkas have. In addition, after using the parka a week, the front buttons started to get loose, and the filling in the left sleeve has started to come out. I would return it, but I need it now that it is snowing here in Boston. I don't recommend this item when there are other parkas out there with better quality, at the same or even lower price.

The jacket is nice and warm, but is made in china. I have an alpha industries 8 years ago and the quality has changed for the worse.
Now, plastic zips and badly finished.
I am disappointed :(

After washing liner on delicate cycle and line drying 3 of the 4 buttons fell off, had to reattach. The overall sizing of the liner appears to be a bit small in width, length and sleeves. The quilted insulation seems to be less dense than most liners but perhaps will expand w/ use. To do over I would have purchased one size larger liner. Overall good product.

Seems to be well made w/ good features. I read many reviews on the Alpha concerning sizing. I ordered my exact size and it fits perfectly w/ and w/o liner. At this time, well pleased w/ jacket.

I finally got to use this jacket the other day and I have to say that I am so impressed with it!! It was so warm, I felt that I could just take a nap in the snow and wake up feeling warm. Seriously, a great warm parka for an inexpensive price.

the quality of material is awful, way to thin(no warmth whatsoever) and wrinkled as old man's butt. I'm a thin, tall man, the XL jacket was to narrow in the shoulders and too short in lenth!! such a dissapointment! I used to love ALPHA. had a lot good cloth from them... (made in USA era)

Typical very good Alpha jacket. However, it has a tag showing it was made in China. Not satisfied about that at all.

I got the jacket and the liner. It is generally well made, but mine lost one of the snap bases on a pocket, so it will not snap. The system is a good one, especially with the liner made by Alpha. The Alpha liner has tight elastic wrist bands which substantially add to keeping the warmth in. The hood is handy, and the look often elicits kind comments, and some reminiscing by those who served in Army or Marines in the past.

i got one of these about 10 years ago when i was in my flight jacket phase. i then went to leather, and now motorcycle jackets, so this had been worn only several times.
most of my jackets are because i like the style, and not that functional for warmth in calif. however, i'm in the film industry and work on cold sound stages and on location at all times of the year and outrageously early. the de rigueur cool uniform in the film biz is the 'north face' black parka. well, my $200 550 down was not cutting it.
so, i threw my unworn b-15 into my car so i had it whenever it was cold. to my outrageous surprise, not only was this amazingly warm, but i was getting looks and comments on set from all the guys wearing the north face jackets, asking me where i got my jacket and what kind was it.
superb classic style, and unpareil functionality. only thing is to get it a size larger as these are very short. it takes awhile for the cinched banding at the bottom to flatten and loosen so the jacket hangs a bit lower, so do get a larger size otherwise the waist rides up to above your belly button. i like the replica b-15 as it looks like it falls a bit lower on the body, but it's more expensive and it is for very cold weather, as well as weighing more.
for the bux, this is the most amazing and stylish without trying to be stylish jacket in the world.

This jackes was a big disappointment to me. The zipper does not work unless the user has three hands. Loose threads everywhere and numerous seams have contracted, distorting both appearance and function of the garment.

It's a spectacular jacket. Lightweight, so if you plan to wear it year round, wear a long sleeve shirt underneath. The arms don't give you very much reaching ability, i.e. bending down to tie your shoes. It feels like it's going to rip the back when you reach out in front of you.

Last week was - 48 C and this parka was excellent! Very comfortable, lightweight and warm. First time i thought that it must be cold in this parka, because it dont look like really warm, for example "some canadian" parka looks more tuffer and bigger, BUT N3B was really really good in extra cold winter! And it cost not that much! And I want to give some recommendations:
1) I think that parka must be lil bit more longer, till knees.
2) And it must be some kind belt inside that will protect from wind that blow from under.
3) The schoulders must be more dick.

I just received in size M, excellent quality materials. But I miss the shelter, are the buttons to add both inside and on the hood. I must say that is not indicated in the product but would have to be the option

MADE IN CHINA. Enough said, really. It's an ok jacket though. Somewhat cheaply made and definitely not like the original. You can clearly tell a difference in the quality of Alpha Industries products back with they were USA made and now that they're made in China. But I'm sure they're owners, big wigs, CEO's, etc. are getting rich by this business model. Too bad for the once great product that all the American workers who use to make them. Oh well.

This is a great, classic jacket. The XL fits me perfect; 6' 185#. Weight is similar to a lined Carhart-style jacket. Perfect for multi-season wear. Apply a couple industrial adhesive Velcro dots to hold collar tabs down. Great customer service! Thanks, Alpha!!

This is the best liner you can find.First the cuffs are ribbed where as non-Alpha cuffs are attached to the jacket.The fact you can wear it by itself as a jacket is another plus,and the pocket placement is excellent.It might be more money but it is well worth it.Also when used in jacket the pockets are on the inside of the jacket unlike any other liner ive seen at the military store.Ive been buying Alpha M-65 Jackets and Liners for decades now and never had a problem.

I will only order Alpha M-65 Field Jacket the quality is excellent and I never had a problem.I made the mistake of buying a non-alpha M-65 jacket from the local military store within 2 days the lower pocket ripped and the zipper wasnt put on right.Ive been buying Alpha M-65's for years now,the only problem is they use to have different colors such as 3 Color Desert and Tiger stripe.I still have an Alpha I bought in High School and im in my 30's now and still wear it time to time.

Hi, I am from Indonesia.
By chance the rainy season here, I've received the jacket yesterday. Really happy! After I use, all fit with my size, except for the length of the arm, but even then because my body is small for the people of Indonesia. Everyone says this jacket is good, both material and model.
Which makes me glad, I received his jacket without disabilities because there are some bad news from overseas shipments into the country if we use the local post.
Next order...COBS II! must collect the budget first LOL.

Very good jacket, very warm and comfortable. The only downside is the fact that it cannot be washed in a washing machine, it has to be dry cleaned which can be a pain in the butt if you get it dirty on a regular basis.

My quest for a great flight jacket ended at Alpha! I have looked long and hard for a flight jacket to replace my old A-2, and this MA-1 did it with flying colors. It is well-constructed and sewn, durable, and made with very substantial nylon fabric. Often we think of nylon as thin "windbreaker" material-- but this is no "windbreaker." It is thick, well-lined, and comfortable, and the knit waist and cuffs hold their tension well. Best of all, the sizing is perfect-- I am quite tall (6'5") and so sleeve length is always an issue for me. With a certain amount of apprehension, I went with the 2XLT (tall), and it is as if this jacket was tailored for me, with sufficient sleeve length and then some. This is indeed a product made with quality materials, quality workmanship, and attention to detail. And finally, as far as the "cool-factor" is concerned, in the cockpit or not, this jacket is cool :-) !

I found it very warm and good looking, however seams must be improved: side pocket seams from inside separated next day, threads came out in some places and seams became loose (had to re-sew them). Missed inside pocket with zipper.
Usually I wear M size, but took L size slim fit parka and it was just fine!

I have this jacket for 5 years. Its very good jacket. It offers perfect protection from wind and light rain. When combined with liner - you cant be cold in winter. Its very breathable jacket. This jacket can last for 100 years. For those who wants perfect jacket for all year-round use - its an M-65 field jacket.

I've been wearing my new M51 Jaket for a few weeks now. A few older vets have commented about what great condition it's in, lol. It looks about identical to my old issued M51 from Korea less the stains and worn areas.So it passes muster.
The tag isn't as shown in the site picture, but is of Beetle Bailey with rounded corners. I imagine this was done so certain militaria dealera don't change tags and sell these jackets as original. Ypu get used to Beetle soo enough and I call it the "beetle bailey collection" now.
The only problem I've found is , I haven't found a liner to fit the button pattern, M1951, and M65 issue liners don't m,atch the buttons sewn into the jacket, what fits???don't know.
Quality matches my M43 I bought from Alphg

I love the N3B Parka, I bought My 1st one in 1996 and my 2nd in 2005. I love it it's warm even the coldest the fur lined hood is unbeatable in warmth....
the ONLY flaw I have found, is that my big storm flap buttons worked loose and came off to easy... Some thread like
30lb Braided fishing line... would work well in keeping them on.. but other than that it's Awesome

Nice jacket! Qualitative tailoring, a thread do not stick out. For buyers from Russia and other cold country: it is possible to carry in winter-it thick enough and warm.

I've been shopping around and have looked at just about everything out there. This jacket is as close to the one I was issued (plus the new inside pocket) as I could find without digging for a decent military surplus jacket. I've only had it 2 weeks now so I guess I'll see how it's going to wear. So far, I'm really happy with it.

Having severed in the Air Force this is the closest to the real jacket without spending the $450 for the nomex which I did not really need.
It looks and feels like the one I used when serving, excellent and well worth the money.

This is a very sharp looking jacket. It's suitable with jeans/t-shirt, or for dressing up a little and going out for dinner. order one size larger than you actually wear for a casual fit, otherwise it runs very slim fitting.

It is really light weight. The Olive green looks a little different after I got it but it's worth this discounted price and the solid look of a trench.
Did I mention this thing was light?

The colour combination looked really sharp and the materials and warmth were to Alpha's normal standard. I wasn't convinced by the slim fit cut, though. The jacket flared out at the waist level, looking slightly too effeminate/a bit like a skirt. The larger size didn't do that, and it fit me comfortably loose, but its arms were too long for me. One for my friend with longer-than-average arms, perhaps. I agree with the other reviewer, that the orange lining should extend to the standard range - though for me, I'd prefer a standard-fit N-3B with the orange lining.

This is not the first Alpha jacket I have owned. A MA -1 purchased 20 years ago still looking good and an Army issue CWU also owned.
This jacket surprised me when I opened. Great quality and fit.
Makes you look and feel like an aviator
Good enough to wear for a social occasions.
The breathing of the jacket when it warms is also excellent.
Leather collar tops it off

Just got the jacket today, somewhat unsure of what i was getting. This jacket is completely legit. Solid materials, great craftmanship, perfect fit, and great for the cockpit-not too bulky but will layer well on cold days. Looks fantastic. Can't wait for cool weather flying days ahead!! Replica Gray is awesome original military color. Army Air Corps insignia a great touch.

I bought two of these three years ago. thay are still in great shape. i hope to let my two sons have them, in a few years.
They did shrink considerably, upon washing. Can you guys deliberately over size these things or preshrink them. Make xl xxl sizes please. I am a large regular in military sizes.

excelent product, but instead of Alpha suggest standard fit, you need one sze more, because has tight fit, I' normal use size L, 5 feet 10" tall and 175 to 180 max. weight, and the size L for me must be XL and not my normal size.

I look forward to winter now, I love breaking my N-3B parker out of the wardrobe, putting it on zipping it up and heading out, confident that no matter how cold it gets, Im going to be warm and comfortable all day long.
The only thing Im not too keen on is the amount of synthetic fur. Over here in the South of England UK its rare for it to drop below -10oC, they generally don't dip below -5oC so although I love the synthetic fur it dose look a bit over the top at times. Maybe I should move somewhere colder.

I have had one of these for a few years now, it still looks and feels new, its the perfect jacket for getting into the car on cold frosty morning or just walking home from the pub on winter nights.
Its built with amazing quality and Im sure it will last for many years to come.

The main drawback with this jacket I've had so far is the stitching. I've only owned it for a bit under a year and I've re-attached 4 buttons and sewn a seam back together. I can tell already more buttons will follow, too. By contrast, I have cheap t-shirts from years before which I wear as regularly and wash far more often which have never needed repairs, so this is a bit disappointing.
On the other hand, the material itself has never torn, and the metal zippers work great. Any buttons you chance not to lose are also the perfect size to be used without lots of fiddling around.
The hood is a bit of a joke, though. Kinda like having an old convertible where you have to stop and get out to set up the roof manually if you see a cloud on the horizon. Also, don't order this in black unless you like cleaning stuff off it; it attracts dust and fluff so well you could use it to clean a room.

Bought this jacket last week and love the way it looks and the feel of it. You can tell it's of great quality in every aspect of it. I've never had a jacket this good. I love it.
