Each year in the small town of Geneseo, NY, the National Warplane Museum holds an airshow to showcase vintage warplanes and honor our veterans. For two days WWII and Korean-era aircraft — fighters, bombers, and cargo — roar overhead. What makes the Geneseo Airshow even more unique is that it is one of the few shows that takes place entirely on grass. Planes such as the Whisky 7, Memphis Belle and P-51 Mustang perform simulated fights, daring aerobatics, and fly-bys. Included in this year's show was our corporate philanthrophy, Warrior Flight Team. Their Vandy-1 and Roman L-39 jets took to the skies in a dogfight full of action and amazing flying.
Alpha was proud to join the Warrior Flight Team this past weekend at "The Greatest Show on Turf." Together we increased awareness of their scholarship program for wounded veterans and raised money for it via merchandise sales. The show also gave us the opportunity to capture the team in action as they prepped and then took to the skies. Check out some of our photos from the show below and a video of one of the performers above.
