UPDATE:  Congrats to B-7 bomber winner Troy Keyes and B-3 Sherpa winner Brad Juneau!

Troy Keyes in the B-7 Bomber

Each year Alpha Industries supports a variety of organizations that tie back to our founding mission -- servicing our U.S. Armed Forces. For us, the Lone Survivor Foundation was a perfect fit. The Foundation helps wounded service members, and their families, adjust to the effects of their experiences and transition into their “new normal.” This is done by providing health, wellness and therapeutic support.

The Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year is the annual Houston gala and auction. This year’s event will be held on September 12 at the Royal Sonesta Houston. Alpha proudly donated two vintage jackets to the auction, the B-7 Vintage Sheepskin Parka and the B-3 Sherpa Air Force bomber. You can bid on them now at the official LSF Houston Gala Auction site.

B-7 Vintage Sheepskin Parka

The B-7 Vintage Sheepskin Parka was originally designed during World War II for flight and ground crews in extreme cold climates. The B-7 was in production for only one year making it extremely rare and valuable.

B-3 Sherpa Leather Jacket

Alpha’s B-3 Sherpa Air Force bomber jacket is a classic that never goes out of style. The leather bomber jacket is made from genuine distressed leather and has a sherpa lining for warmth in any conditions.

The Lone Survivor Foundation restores, empowers, and renews hope for our wounded service members and their families through health, wellness, and therapeutic support. Overseas deployments and combat action can take a serious toll on everyone involved - from the men and women on the front lines to the friends and families who wait patiently for their loved ones to return home. Transitioning to post-military life, whether wounded in combat or simply adjusting to the civilian sector, will often cause difficulty for the service member and his or her family. The unfortunate reality for many service members and their families is that life changes after the loved one returns home and the effects of their experiences begin to manifest in negative ways. In short, the normalcy of life prior to their service may have been lost forever. Therefore, the Lone Survivor Foundation is here to help America's wounded service members and their families adjust to the effects of their experiences and help them transition into what may be looked at as their 'new normal' – providing an understanding and acceptance of who they are as a person, a family, and a community. www.lonesurvivorfoundation.org
