What does a soldier have to do to be awarded the Medal of Honor?

This one is for the real American heroes – the ones who go above and way beyond the call of duty. The Medal of Honor is as high an award as a soldier can get, given to an individual in the Armed Services for “valor in action against an enemy force.” Usually presented by the President on behalf of Congress, the Medal of Honor’s history stretches back to the Civil War. You can learn about the inspiring recipients of the Medal of Honor at http://www.cmohs.org/recipient-archive.php
