April is designated as the Month of the Military Child, recognizing the unique sacrifice that military children and families make when a parent is a member of the Armed Forces. In honor of the Month of the Military Child, Alpha is proud to feature a series of interviews with military children from various branches of the Armed Forces. This was made possible through Our Military Kids, an organization that sponsors grants for the children of military personal and wounded veterans.
Our first interview is with BJ and Kendal, a brother and sister whose father is a member of the United States Marine Corp. BJ is 8 and Kendal is 4. BJ likes sports, watching WWE, and is a Redskins football fan. He loves all of the Marvel superhero movies, but Ironman is his favorite. He likes hanging out and playing with his friends and cousins. BJ also loves music and showing off his dance moves! Kendal likes to play dress up and pretend, especially with her princess accessories. Her favorite movie is Frozen, and her favorite princess is Elsa. She likes going to daycare and playing with her friends, and she is very excited about her dance recital coming up in June. She is a big time daddy's girl, but loves snuggling with mommy and bothering her big brother BJ.
