On Saturday, December 13 at veterans' cemeteries across the country, volunteers will lay holiday wreaths at the gravestones of soldiers. National Wreaths Across America Day
is an event to honor those who gave their lives for our country. At the same time it teaches the youth of today the importance of remembering our fallen heroes. One of the biggest events is held at Arlington Cemetery in Virginia. Many of the soldiers buried there no longer have family to come visit them, so having someone lay a wreath and take some time to reflect on their sacrifice keeps their memory alive.
