Alpha Badasses: Sylvester Stallone in Rambo: First Blood
10/13/2015 1:45:00 AM

On a misty morning in the Pacific Northwest, a lone drifter wanders into the sleepy town of Hope, Washington. But this isn’t just any drifter. It’s John Rambo, as played by Sylvester Stallone, in Rambo: First Blood, the 1982 film that launched a blockbuster franchise.

Rambo served in the Vietnam War and received the Medal of Honor as a member of an elite commando squad. As one character memorably puts it, he’s “a man who's been trained to ignore pain, ignore weather, to live off the land, to eat things that would make a billy goat puke.”

In other words, he’s a complete badass.

Rambo’s coat of choice in First Blood is the Alpha M-65, which was issued to soldiers in Vietnam. With its wind and tear resistant nylon/cotton blend, extra pockets for equipment and detachable liner for added protection against the elements, the M-65 is perfect for any tough situation you encounter, whether abroad or at home. You’ll still have to practice Stallone’s iconic sneer in the mirror, though.
