Alpha Industries L-2B Flight Jacket Alpha Industries L-2B Flight Jacket : Men's Flight Jackets Alpha Industries L-2B Flight Jacket
The lightweight L-2B flying jacket mimics the original L-2A jacket specs by the US Air Force, except for the tonal color changes. The green color was instituted during the Korean War to better help camouflage a downed pilot behind enemy lines.

Review: I do not like this version currently be offered the earlier model with the lower flap and mask retaining strip was much more authentic. I returned the one I just received and hopefully you'll offer the earlier discontinued version soon.

Review: I have had many ALPHA jackets in my military career, dating from the early 1970s. This L-2b has shallow pockets and no inside pockets and the zipper is shiny aluminum, it should be subdued. Alpha should make them in the USA, not China. I would rather pay more for a proper U.S. jacket. I still like it, but changes need to be made. Matt

Review: A good resemblance of the 1960s L-2B.
HOWEVER:

The add states “This item has a Tight fit. We suggest buying one size larger than you normally wear”.
This did not work for me!
I’m a 71in, 170lbs, 40in chest kind of guy –somewhere between M and L (see the fit guide for comparison).
I have a Size L B-15 jacket which I find to have a good fit. Good room for a thick shirt or fleece underneath but not for a heavy sweater.
Therefore I figured a size L would be a good fit for an L-2B as well.
I find the size L a little baggy (especially around the chest and arms)! I’d probably been better off with a size M in this case.
